Producer and designer Trevor Jackson recently wrapped up a series of releases on a specially set up label whose sole purpose was to share his unreleased music from the last 15 years. What’s made this endeavor particularly interesting beyond the great music is the approach Jackson has taken to the design.
I was first introduced to Trevor Jackson in the form of his production moniker Underdog on Mo’Wax. Jackson went on to found the influential Output Records, responsible for signing Fridge and in turn bringing Four Tet to the world and the first label to release LCD Soundsystem. Jackson also flirted with the mainstream with his chart topping project Playgorup. All the while producing consistently forward thinking design work for a range of clients.
